Hoover celebrates opening of new canoe launch
It's now easier for folks to enjoy the Cahaba River by canoe in Hoover.The city hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 30 for its new canoe launch located in Flemming Park.The new launch will give canoeists direct access to the 20 or so miles of the Cahaba River that flow through Hoover, the city said.A news release stated Flemming Park is a 100-acre park which also has trails and a covered pavilion donated by Signature Homes to the city of Hoover to maintain.The park is located on the back side of the Lake Wilborn subdivision.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WVTM 13

It's now easier for folks to enjoy the Cahaba River by canoe in Hoover.
