Ider woman killed in head-on collision

A head-on collision claimed the life of a woman in Dekalb County Friday morning.Fifty-two-year-old Ginger McBride of Ider was killed just before 5 a.m. Friday when her car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer driven by Robert Bell of Chattanooga, Tennessee. According to Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division, Bell, as well as a 17-year-old passenger of McBride's, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.McBride was pronounced dead at the scene.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13 The crash occurred on AL-75, just north of Cartersville.ALEA is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
