Police are searching for the person who shot him. He and a friend got into their vehicle at 54th Street and 2nd Avenue North and tried to leave when another person fired multiple shots into their vehicle, hitting the victim. The friend drove to the 5600 block of 1st Avenue North at Woodlawn High School for help. Gerald Lomax, 17, was shot after a basketball game at Woodlawn High School Tuesday night.

Police are searching for the person who shot him. Officers were called to a shooting at 9:50 p.m. at the school.
