‘Sports Illustrated’ Model Olivia Ponton Reported Burglary at NFL Star Joe Burrow’s Home
Authorities are sharing insight into an ongoing investigation.
Over one month after there was a reported break-in at the home of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow—which was called in by model Olivia Ponton—four men have been arrested in connection to a string of burglaries at the homes of multiple high-profile individuals.
According to court documents obtained by NBC News, four men from Chile have been arrested and charged in connection to the burglaries. While Burrow is not named specifically in the documents, one of the listed time and places coincides with the break-in at the NFL star’s home and, the documents say, a Bengals hat allegedly stolen during the burglary was found by detective in an SUV used by the suspects, per the outlet.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced in a statement, obtained by NBC News, that a grand jury indicted the four individuals—Bastian Alejandro Morales, 23, Sergio Andres Cabello, 38, Jordan Francisco Sanchez, 22, and Alejandro Esteban Huaiquil-Chavez, 24—on charges of corrupt activity, participation in a criminal gang, obstructing investigators and possessing burglary tools.
A spokesperson for Yost confirmed to NBC News the defendants have not yet entered pleas. (Per the outlet, Ohio criminal procedure does not require pleas to be entered for felony cases at hearings of this nature.)
According to inmate records obtained by NBC News, all four individuals were in custody with no bail as of Jan. 21.
E! News has reached out to legal representation for the four defendants for comment but has not yet heard back.

In the fall of 2024, the NFL and NBA—the latter citing FBI intelligence—warned its athletes against to “transnational South American Theft Groups” that target “professional athletes and other high-net-worth individuals,” as reported by NBC News at the time.
The outlet noted the groups allegedly used “advanced techniques” such as pre-surveillance, drones, signal-jamming devices and other cutting-edge technology.
Over the last year, in addition to Burrow, Kansas City Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr., Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and the fiancée of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott have each experienced residential break-ins.

For the part of Burrow, the 28-year-old previously spoke to the uneasy feeling of having his privacy violated.
"So obviously everybody has heard what has happened,” he said in a press conference Dec. 11, per Sports Illustrated. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one.”
He admitted, “Way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share, so that's all I got to say about that.”
