Man arrested in Birmingham woman's shooting death

A Birmingham man is in jail and charged with a woman's death in what police believe to be a domestic incident in the East Thomas area.Birmingham police were called before midnight Friday to the 600 block of 11th Court West for a person who had been shot.Deep dive: WVTM 13 InvestigatesWhen they arrived they found Sherry Body, 50, had been shot and was lying on a sidewalk outside of a home.Birmingham Fire and Rescue crews pronounced her dead at the scene.Investigators believe she was involved in an altercation with Edward Bell Myles Jr., 51, when she was shot.Police took him into custody at the scene for questioning as a person of interest.
