Margot Robbie gives birth to her first baby

Margot Robbie is now a mom. The "Barbie" actor and her husband, film producer Tom Ackerley, welcomed a baby boy earlier this month, the "Daily Mail" reported Saturday.

According to the outlet, Robbie went into labor two weeks ago, shortly before her due date. Her baby was born on October 17, a source added, and “all is well” with the family of three. The couple’s parents are expected to arrive soon to meet their grandson.

The news arrived after an insider close to Robbie told "People" how the actor is preparing for this next chapter of her life.

“She is spending time in Los Angeles and preparing for her baby’s arrival,” the source told the outlet. “Margot absolutely can’t wait.”

Robbie and Ackerley eagerly awaited their first child together, and apparently, they have both “wanted to be parents for a really long time, and are so happy.”

As the couple eases into parenthood, Robbie will take a break from filming projects.

“She’s usually one of the hardest-working actresses in Hollywood. She seems to enjoy some downtime from filming now, though,” the insider said, adding that Robbie had “still been working a bit” throughout her pregnancy. “She seems to love staying busy.”

The couple, who are notoriously private, quietly got married in 2016. After founding production company LuckyChap Entertainment, the two have developed several projects together, including "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey," which stars Robbie alongside Colin Farrell and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Their growing family, however, will undoubtedly be their biggest collaboration yet.
