McConaughey sightings pour in as star shoots new film in Birmingham area

PELL CITY, Ala. —

Alright, alright, alright ... Matthew McConaughey has officially taken the Birmingham area by storm.

The Oscar-winning actor will call central Alabama home for the next month while filming the upcoming crime thriller "The Rivals Of Amziah King."

McConaughey has been spotted at several area restaurants over the last week, stopping to snap pictures with fans or to flash a "Hook em Horns" in response to a few rowdy "Roll Tides."
