Miles wins in DII playoff first-round matchup over Carson Newman 14-13

Well, I'm, I, I, it means *** lot, not just to myself and the players, it means *** lot to the student body, to the alumni, to our fans. The fact that it's the first playoff win in the history of Miles College. And, and we've been making *** lot of history this year, but it, it's been *** great journey and it continues next week.

Miles College and head coach Sam Shade have already made history this year, but they are not done yet.The Golden Bears defeated Carson Newman 14-13 in the first round of the DII playoffs.Miles had never advanced in the DII playoffs until Saturday.The Golden Bears are in Year 3 under head coach Shade, and they are playing their best football in program history."It means a lot not to just myself and the players. It means a lot to the student body, to the alumni, to our fans, the fact that it is the first playoff win in the history of Miles College," said Shade.After losing their first two games of the season, Miles has not lost since. The Golden Bears have won 10 games straight.Next up, Miles will travel to play Valdosta State. Kickoff is set for noon.
