Pedestrian struck and killed in Dallas County

DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. —

A Tyler man was struck and killed in Dallas County Tuesday morning.

It happened just after 1 a.m. on U.S. 80, roughly five miles east of Selma.

According to ALEA, 50-year-old Edward J. Hall was struck by a vehicle driven by Marcus L. Martin, 39, of Selma; Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
