THE BIRMINGHAM CHAPTER OF THE SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE HOSTED A PRESS CONFERENCE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO VOTE. THE ORGANIZATION SAYS THERE’S POWER IN CASTING A BALLOT, AND WE’LL FOREVER GIVE YOU THE PRAISE. THE THANKS IN JESUS NAME, AMEN, AMEN, AMEN, AMEN. BECAUSE IF YOU DON’T VOTE, YOU AIN’T GOT NOTHING TO SAY. NEARLY 160 MILLION AMERICANS VOTED IN THE 2020 ELECTION. TO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SHED THEIR BLOOD FOR YOU TO HAVE THIS ADVANTAGE IN YOUR LIFE, AND YOU ACT LIKE YOU STILL DOWN AT THE MARDI GRAS PARTY. AND THESE FOLK CHANGING OUR CONDITIONS. SLC VICE PRESIDENT MORELLE TODD SAYS THAT NUMBER ISN’T HIGH ENOUGH. YOU GOT TO STOP LOOKING AT WHAT YOU GOT AND THINKING THAT YOU’RE GOING TO KEEP IT, BECAUSE IF YOU DON’T VOTE, YOU CAN LOSE IT. ALABAMA IS ONE OF THREE STATES IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA THAT HAS NO FORM OF EARLY VOTING. OCTOBER 31ST IS THE LAST DAY TO CAST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT. VOTER OUTREACH DIRECTOR KRIS DAVIS SAYS VOTING EARLY SETS THE TONE FOR ELECTION NIGHT. WE WANT YOU TO PHYSICALLY DO IT A TO LET ALABAMA KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE WOULD VOTE EARLY IF THEY COULD VOTE EARLY, AND WE WANT THOSE SAME PEOPLE TO BE ACTIVE ON ELECTION DAY. AS THE COUNTRY WAITS FOR THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION, TODD HOPES TO SEE OTHERS USE THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE.
