An Ohio teen on vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has quite a story to tell after finding an engagement ring that a man had lost in the sand right before proposing. "It felt really good to do," 15-year-old Isaiah Krekeler told sister station WYFF News on Friday. Days prior to the interview, a Tennessee man said he was about to propose to his girlfriend on the beach when he could not find the ring. The man said he believed the ring fell out of his pocket while they were taking pictures.Several members of the Myrtle Beach Police Department's Beach Patrol team said they started looking for the ring in the area where the couple was taking pictures.That's when someone saw Krekeler on the beach with a metal detector. "I was hanging out with friends, and someone walks over and says, 'Hey, someone lost a ring over there,'" Krekeler said. He said he found the ring in about 45 seconds in a sand pile. "I was surprised I found it so quick," Krekeler said. Krekeler said it was the first time he had used the metal detector on the beach. Krekeler said he handed the ring to the woman who was about to be proposed to, and she hugged him."I felt like I saved a marriage," Krekeler said humbly. And by the way – the woman said YES!
