TikToker Charles Smith Indicted After Filming Himself Poisoning Food at Grocery Store
TikToker Charles Smith is facing legal trouble.
The influencer, known on social media as Wolfie Kahletti, was indicted on felony and misdemeanor charges, one month after he was arrested on Dec. 21 when police say he filmed himself spraying bug spray on produce inside of a Mesa, Arizona, Walmart.
The 27-year-old faces two felony charges, including one count of burglary in the third degree, and two counts of adding poison or other harmful substance to water, food, drink, or medicine, the Maricopa County Attorney’s office said in a press release. Smith was further charged with one count of endangerment and one count of Criminal Damage as the meat and produce he sprayed, totaling $900 of damage, had to be discarded.
Mesa Police Department said in a press release that at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, Smith entered the Walmart store “intending to film pranks for social media but instead selected a can of Hot Shot Ultra Bed Bug and Flea Killer from the shelf without paying for it.”
“He then sprayed the pesticide on various produce items, including vegetables, fruit, and rotisserie chickens that were available for purchase,” the authorities continued. “Smith filmed his face, the pesticide can, and the act of spraying. He later posted the video online.”
According to police, Smith turned himself in less than 24 hours later and admitted to theft and spraying the bug spray.

E! News has reached out to Smith's attorney, who confirmed he has pled not guilty.
At the time, Smith—who often posted prank and shock content across social media—went viral after he shared the since-deleted TikTok video of himself inside of the store. In the video, Smith filmed himself in the act of picking up the can of pesticide and spraying it on the various food items.
After reading the comments from users shaming him for the act, police said that Charles returned to the store to collect the infested meat and produce.
In the press release, the Mesa Police department issued a stern warning to those who post similar content, noting, “This incident underscores the potential dangers of reckless actions disguised as social media pranks.”
