Traffic stop leads to discovery of 50 pounds of cannabis on I-22
A woman was arrested after law enforcement found illegal narcotics during a traffic stop.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) reported deputies stopped a Hyundai Electra on I-22 eastbound for a traffic violation Nov. 15.During that traffic stop, the JCSO said deputies discovered 50 pounds of cannabis, unused seal bags and a vacuum sealing machine.The sheriff's office said April Croskey, 41, of Birmingham, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.Jail records showed Croskey was released from jail on a $250,000 bond.Deep dive: WVTM 13 Investigates

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) reported deputies stopped a Hyundai Electra on I-22 eastbound for a traffic violation Nov. 15.
