Truck driver escaped serious injury after tanker truck wreck in Brent
Alabama Highway 5 in Bibb County is open again, after crews worked day and night to clean up a tanker truck wreck.The Brent Volunteer Fire Department said the large truck went off the roadway and overturned about 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in an area near the Sawmeal Restaurant.Crews worked all day and night to transfer the contents of the wrecked tanker to a new tanker, including crews that had to restore power and phone lines, said the fire department.The road was eventually reopened about 11 p.m.The Brent VFD said the truck driver walked away from the wreck with a few cuts and bruises.There is no word on what caused the crash.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13

Alabama Highway 5 in Bibb County is open again, after crews worked day and night to clean up a tanker truck wreck.
The Brent Volunteer Fire Department said the large truck went off the roadway and overturned about 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in an area near the Sawmeal Restaurant.
