COMING UP, BRITNEY BRADLEY, THANK YOU SO MUCH. THE WEATHER DIDN’T KEEP CROWDS AWAY FROM OAK MOUNTAIN STATE PARK TO CELEBRATE OUR COUNTRY A LITTLE BIT EARLY. WVTM 13, AARON LLEWELLYN LIVE IN PELHAM. HE’S BEEN THERE ALL AFTERNOON. AARON, A LOT OF PEOPLE CLAIM THAT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. ABSOLUTELY. BRITTANY THINGS LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT THAN THEY DID EARLIER TODAY. AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME, IT HAS CLEARED OUT. PEOPLE HAVE GONE HOME FOR THE NIGHT. BUT EARLIER TODAY IT WAS VERY BUSY. I HEAR THE BEACH WAS PACKED FULL OF PEOPLE WHO WERE EXCITED TO SEE THE FIREWORKS TONIGHT. NOW, THEY DID START THE FIREWORKS EARLY. THE PARK. THEY DID START THE FIREWORKS EARLY BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO AVOID A RAIN DELAY. AND SOME PEOPLE SAY THAT’S ALL BECAUSE OF THE ALABAMA WEATHER. A HOT DAY AT THE BEACH QUICKLY TURNED GLOOMY AND WINDY BECAUSE OF HEAVY DOWNPOURS WITH SOME UMBRELLAS AND TENTS EVEN GOING AIRBORNE. THAT WAS A SCARY MOMENT FOR SEVERAL FAMILIES. SOME PEOPLE EVEN TAKING THEIR TENTS AND UMBRELLAS DOWN, OTHERS EVEN LEAVING THE PARK TO AVOID THE WEATHER. THE STORM DID MOVE OUT AND THOSE WHO DID STAY DIDN’T LET THE WEATHER DAMPEN THEIR EXPERIENCE. SOME EVEN MAKING THIS THEIR FIRST YEAR FOR THE FIRE ON THE WATER. THIS IS A TRADITION OF ALABAMA WEATHER. IT’S UNPREDICTABLE. FOR SEASONS AT ONE TIME. YOU KNOW, EARLIER TODAY, BEFORE THE RAIN, PEOPLE ENJOYED WATER, MUSIC, GRILLING AND A PERFORMANCE FROM PROFESSIONAL WAKEBOARDING. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, PEOPLE WERE EXCITED TO SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY WHILE WAITING FOR THE BRIGHT LIGHTS IN THE SKY. SOME SAYING THAT’S WHAT TODAY IS ALL ABOUT. SCHOOL GOING TO BE IN ANOTHER MONTH AND RIGHT NOW THE TIME WHEN WE CAN SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE KIDS, IT’S VERY IMPORTANT TO BOND WITH FAMILY AND WE’RE PRETTY CLOSE KNIT. SO WE ALWAYS COME OUT AND ENJOY OURSELVES. THE KIDS LOVE OAK MOUNTAIN. THEY LOVE THE BEACH AREA AND IT’S JUST GREAT TO BE HERE AND CELEBRATE SAFE. NOW WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF RAIN TOMORROW, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF THE WEATHER. SO PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE INCLUDE THAT IN YOUR PLANS FOR TOMORROW AS IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THERE WILL BE RAIN, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WILL BE OUT ON SOME TYPE OF WATER. BUT FOR RIGHT NOW, WE’RE LIVE IN

Four seasons at one time.”Earlier during the day, people enjoyed the water, music, grilling and a performance from professional wakeboarders.
