Warmer Saturday ahead of some scattered showers and storms

Showers and some storms possible across Alabama this weekend

There's *** risk of *** few severe thunderstorms coming up on Saturday, mainly west of Alabama. Around here, we could have some isolated showers and thunderstorms through Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. But the overall picture is not one of an extremely stormy day. So if you're thinking about barrens, stallions, whatever it might be coming up on Saturday evening, the weather looks decent and isolated storm possible early on and then just partly mostly cloudy sky with temperatures falling off into the sixties Saturday night. Now on Sunday, we'll see *** few showers around in the morning and then in the afternoon, it's just breezy and cooler. So here's what the forecast looks like when we use some of the short term modeling. This is the H triple R, the her, there are three areas to look out for around the southeast for thunderstorm action. Number one back here to the west over Arkansas where there's *** much better chance of severe thunderstorms. And then we have the few isolated storms over northeastern Mississippi and West Alabama around five o'clock Saturday afternoon. This action down to the south very well may be the thing that prevents widespread severe thunderstorms or even thunderstorms for that matter over Mississippi and West Alabama through Saturday afternoon. So you see how this is going to work closer to where there's *** little bit of an upward motion in the atmosphere. *** better chance of some showers around Huntsville and over to Albertville and Fort Payne through Saturday evening, Birmingham down to Montgomery. Probably not *** whole lot. And then of course, down around South Alabama, we've dried out, Look out here to the west big line of thunderstorms there as that moves toward us. It just kind of fizzles. We'll have some showers through the overnight hours into early Sunday morning over northeast Alabama. But once this passes, once all this wet weather is passed us, uh you know, going into Saturday or Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening and even into Monday, shabby. So *** warm day, Saturday, some storms late Saturday afternoon, showers early Sunday morning and then next week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, all dry Friday. We do bring back *** chance of some scattered thunderstorms. Now, it's going to depend on how far east this entire storm system ends up and how much instability there is. But I think there could be some active thunderstorms between Friday and Saturday of next week. So that is something to keep in the back of your mind as we go through the next seven days.
