Auburn had five players selected in this year’s NFL Draft, matching the second most from the program in a single draft during the modern era.
Derick Hall was the first off the board, going to the Seattle Seahawks in the second round Friday night. Tank Bigsby went in the third round to the Jacksonville Jaguars later Friday night, while Colby Wooden (fourth round to the Green Bay Packers), Owen Pappoe (fifth round to the Arizona Cardinals) and Anders Carlson (sixth round to the Packers) were all picked on Day 3.

That wasn’t the end for Auburn’s NFL hopefuls, however, as several former Tigers latched on as undrafted free agents with franchises shortly after the draft wrapped up Saturday evening. Here’s a look at where those undrafted players have landed:
Eku Leota, edge: Carolina Panthers
Leota signed with the Carolina Panthers on Saturday evening, according to reports. The 6-foot-3, 252-pounder spent two seasons with Auburn after starting his career at Northwestern. His 2022 campaign was cut short due to a pectoral injury. Leota then dealt with a calf strain that prevented him from participating in on-field drills at the NFL Combine and at Auburn’s pro day.
Leota finished his Auburn career with 41 tackles, with 15 for a loss and nine sacks.
Shedrick Jackson, wide receiver: Cincinnati Bengals
Jackson signed with the Bengals on Saturday evening after going undrafted. The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder turned heads with his performance at Auburn’s pro day last month, when he ran a blistering 4.25 unofficial time in the 40-yard dash. That time would have been the fastest among the receivers in this year’s draft class.
In five seasons at Auburn, Jackson -- the nephew of Bo Jackson -- caught 66 passes for 874 yards and one touchdown. He also excelled as a physical blocker on the perimeter in the run game.
John Samuel Shenker, tight end: Las Vegas Raiders
Shenker signed with the Raiders on Saturday evening after the completion of the draft. He ran a 4.53 in the 40 at Auburn’s pro day and had a 29-inch vertical to go with 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press and a 9-foot-1 broad jump.
A team captain last season, Shenker finished his Auburn career with 68 catches for 779 yards and three touchdowns. In Las Vegas, he’ll be reunited with former Auburn teammate Daniel Carlson.
Tashawn Manning, offensive line: Baltimore Ravens
Manning agreed to a deal with the Ravens on Saturday evening, according to reports. The 6-foot-3, 327-pound offensive lineman began his career at Auburn before transferring to Kentucky for his final season of eligibility. Manning, a cancer survivor, appeared in 30 games for Auburn while making 14 starts along the line. That included all 11 games during the 2020 season.
