BRITTANY ALL RIGHT. JASON. WELL, SECURITY CHANGES AT TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY AFTER A DEADLY SHOOTING OVER THEIR HOMECOMING WEEKEND. 18 YEAR OLD LATAVIA JOHNSON WAS KILLED. AT LEAST 16 OTHERS WERE INJURED EARLY YESTERDAY IN A PARKING LOT ON CAMPUS. AALIYAH SAYS DAKE WES MYRICK WAS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING A MACHINE GUN, THOUGH AT LEAST AT THIS POINT, NO CHARGED. NOT CHARGED WITH USING THE WEAPON. WVTM 13 LISA CRANE WAS ON CAMPUS TODAY AND SPOKE TO STUDENTS WHO LIVED THROUGH THE ATTACK. TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY SOPHOMORE KAI MAUROY CARLISLE IS TRYING TO GET BACK TO THE SCENE OF THE MASS SHOOTING TO FIND THE KEYS. SHE DROPPED IN THE CHAOS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. MANY STUDENTS POSTED VIDEO AND AUDIO OF THE MACHINE GUN FIRE THAT LEFT ONE DEAD, AND MORE THAN A DOZEN INJURED DURING THE UNIVERSITY’S CENTENNIAL HOMECOMING WEEKEND. I JUST REMEMBER TALKING TO A FEW FRIENDS AND OUT OF NOWHERE, WE JUST HEARD GUNSHOTS. AND ALL I REMEMBER IS JUST GETTING DOWN ON THE GROUND. THERE WAS LIKE MAYBE FIVE PEOPLE ON TOP OF ME. IT WAS REALLY SCARY. CARLISLE SAYS SHE IS NOT SURPRISED BY WHAT HAPPENED HERE EARLY SUNDAY MORNING BECAUSE SHE SAYS AS A STUDENT, SHE HAS SEEN VERY LITTLE SECURITY ON THE TUSKEGEE CAMPUS. IT’S VERY TRAUMATIC AND LIKE WHEN I SLEEP, I CAN STILL HEAR. I JUST FEEL LIKE THEY NEED TO DO BETTER, ENFORCE MORE SECURITY BECAUSE THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. TODAY, UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT DOCTOR MARK BROWN ANNOUNCED SOME SWEEPING SECURITY CHANGES. THE CAMPUS IS NO LONGER OPEN. EVERYONE WHO COMES THROUGH THE GATES MUST HAVE AN ID LIKE THIS ONE. THIS MORNING WE HIRED A NEW CAMPUS SECURITY LEADER AND RELIEVED OUR PREVIOUS SECURITY CHIEF OF HIS DUTIES. AS STUDENTS TAKE THE DAY TOMORROW TO HEAL BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY. THE MASS SHOOTING CRIMINAL CASE IS JUST GETTING STARTED. THE PROSECUTOR SAYS THERE MAY BE MORE VICTIMS THEY STILL HAVEN’T IDENTIFIED, AND MOST LIKELY, THIS 25 YEAR OLD MONTGOMERY MAN WON’T BE THE ONLY ONE TO FACE CHARGES. ANYBODY WHO HAS LISTENED TO THE VIDEO OF THIS THAT HAS BEEN WIDELY CIRCULATED CAN DRAW THEIR OWN CONCLUSIONS ABOUT THAT, BUT I HAVEN’T BEEN TOLD SPECIFICALLY. BUT YES, I WOULD EXPECT THAT THERE’S GOING TO BE, YOU KNOW, MULTIPLE SHOOTERS INVOLV
