An investigation is underway after a teen girl was shot Saturday in Fairfield.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. to the 5000 block of Parkway.
Sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money said the 15-year-old girl was taken to Children’s of Alabama. She was later pronounced dead.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.
