Arrest made in shooting death of Brandon Porter in Jasper

The Jasper Police Department announced an arrest in relation to a recent homicide.JPA announced during a news conference July 21 that Jamorron Clay, 22, of Jasper, was arrested and charged with intentional murder.The arrest comes after an investigation began into the death of Brandon Porter, 24, of Jasper.The police department said the body of Porter was found in a wooded area near the 1100 block of Highway 78 West July 9.The JPD said Porter died apparently from gunshot wounds.The suspect was at city jail and will be taken to the county lockup, said the police department.
