Auburn has added a commitment from junior-college basketball player Addarin Scott.

Scott, a 6-foot-9 forward, averaged 9.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this past season at Navarro (Texas) College. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Scott announced his commitment via Twitter:

Scott is rated No. 53 among Class of 2023-24 junior college recruits, according to jucorecruiting.com. He is the second junior-college player to sign with the Tigers in this cycle, joining forward Chad Baker-Mazara of Northwest Florida State.

Auburn previously added transfers Chaney Johnson of UAH and Denver Jones of Florida International. Five-star point guard Aden Holloway of Prolific Prep in California, a McDonald’s All-American, signed with the Tigers in November.

Auburn also recently got some good news from forward Johni Broome, who pulled his name out of the 2023 NBA draft. The 6-10 Broome averaged 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game last season.

Auburn technically has one scholarship remaining for next season, though it is believed walk-on Lior Berman will be placed on scholarship. That would give the Tigers a full complement of 13 scholarships for 2023-24, barring any further departures.
