Birmingham man and woman killed in crash involving 18-wheeler

Two people from Birmingham who died in a traffic crash Monday night have been identified.Ephriam Edwards, Jr., 69, and Sheila Peterson Mahand, 72, were killed when the car they were in collided with an 18-wheeler.It happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Montevallo Road Southwest in Birmingham.Edwards was driving a grey 2016 Chevrolet Impala when it was involved in the crash with the truck.
