Check out Eagles QB Jalen Hurts’ acting debut

Jalen Hurts is the all-star quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. But in a new short film by Teyana Taylor to celebrate the success of her collaboration with Jordan Brand on a sneaker design, the former Alabama standout also is a postman and handsome-prince character.

Taylor produced a Cinderella-style video that features the sneakers and a Jordan-inspired ball gown.

“She reached out to me,” Hurts said on Thursday, “and said she had an opportunity for me. She said I was the perfect fit for it. I really appreciated that, and it kind of went from there -- the neighborhood mailman in a little video.

“It was a fun experience. Glad I got to try it.”

On her Instagram account, the singer, actress and dancer wrote of the video: “Dreams and fairytales are more realistic than the mind perceives it to be. A tangible dream is simply a non-fictional fairytale. As a dreamer, I was often afraid to join life’s magic on the dance floor until I truly started believing myself. Growing up, I was not the typical girl or kid for that matter. I knew life had more to offer. This sneaker represents not only my story, but it represents everyone who has a dream. Be brave enough to be different and allow life and Time to Evolve You. This is my love letter to Harlem and all of the dreamers around the world.”
