Heating up with fewer storms around next several days
STORMS SO YOU’LL KNOW. FIRST, THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. SO THIS MORNING, SHORTLY AFTER DAYBREAK, WE HAD A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN MOVE IN FROM THE WEST, CLOUDY SKIES. SO STARTED WITH THAT AND THAT REALLY STABILIZED THINGS ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA. MANY OF US STAYING DRY THIS AFTERNOON. THAT WILL BE THE CASE INTO THE EVENING. SOME OF THOSE CLOUDY SKIES THIS EVENING AND TUSCALOOSA, WHERE THE TEMPERATURE CHECKS IN AT 82 DEGREES. IT’S 85 IN BIRMINGHAM, 87, GADSDEN, 89, ANNISTON, MANY OF US PEAKED AROUND 90 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON, A LITTLE HOTTER FARTHER TO THE SOUTH WHERE THERE WAS MORE SUNSHINE. AND THAT HEAT INDEX OR FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURE STILL CHECKS IN AT 95 AND 96, A LOT OF RAIN YESTERDAY IN ALABASTER. FEELS LIKE 87 IN TUSCALOOSA. NOW TOMORROW WE EXPECT MORE SUNSHINE. WE EXPECT DRY WEATHER AGAIN FOR OUR SUNDAY AND WE EXPECT TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB UP HIGHER THAN THEY WERE TODAY, UP NEAR 93 IN GADSDEN, LEEDS. 91 CLANTON 93 DEGREES IN TUSCALOOSA. THAT’S GOING TO REALLY BE THE THEME OF THE WEATHER FORECAST OVER THE NEXT FIVE DAYS OR SO. LIMITED RAIN CHANCES AND PLENTY OF THIS, PLENTY OF HEAT. IN FACT, TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY BE CLIMBING INTO THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S AS WE WORK THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK. 94 TOMORROW AFTERNOON, 94 AGAIN ON MONDAY, INCREASING HEAT, ALSO INCREASING HUMIDITY. SO THOSE FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES WILL BE EXCEEDING 105 IN MANY PLACES AS WE WORK THROUGH THE WEEK. SO EXPECT MORE OF THOSE HEAT ADVISORIES TO BE ISSUED. IT’S HOT EVEN BY JULY STANDARDS. AVERAGE HIGH 91. THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. OBVIOUSLY WEDNESDAY 98, QUITE A BIT ABOVE AVERAGE. SO YOU SEE SOME CLOUDS AROUND RIGHT NOW, BUT AN ABSENCE OF RAIN FOR US. IT’S BEEN ACTIVE TO OUR EAST OR NORTH TO OUR SOUTH TODAY AS WE HEAD THROUGH TONIGHT AND EARLY TOMORROW MORNING OUTSIDE OF A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE ACROSS OUR FAR SOUTHERN COUNTIES, PLACES LIKE GREEN HALE, CHILTON WILL STAY DRY HEADING INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. AN ISOLATED SHOWER MAY DEVELOP, BUT NOTICE THE BULK OF THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WELL DOWN TO OUR SOUTH, RIGHT ALONG THE GULF COAST, SOME DRIER AIR WORKING IN TOMORROW. SO IT’S NOT GOING TO BE AS HUMID TOMORROW AND THAT WILL HELP LOWER THOSE RAIN CHANCES AGAIN FOR THE NEXT FIVE DAYS. HARD PRESSED TO FIND REALLY ANY RAIN IN THAT FORECAST. AND WITH THAT, THOSE TEMPERATURES SOAR 94 DEGREES TOMORROW, MONDAY, 96 TUESDAY, THOSE NIGHTTIME LOWS ALSO INCREASING 75 WEDNESDAY MORNING, 76 THURSDAY, EVENTUALLY, WE SEE BETTER CHANCES FOR SOME STORMS RETURNING TO OUR FORECAST FRIDAY, HEADIN
