SHOOTINGS IS BEHIND BARS. NOW WE WANT TO GET YOU OUT NOW TO WVTM 13. JARVIS ROBERTSON. HE’S BEEN TALKING TO FOLKS IN THIS COMMUNITY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA ALL DAY TODAY. AND I KNOW YOU’RE HEARING A LOT FROM THEM, TOO. A LOT OF CONCERN OUT THERE. JARVIS. YEAH. LISA NOW, A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS COMMUNITY TRYING TO WRAP THEIR MIND ABOUT WRAP THEIR MIND AROUND WHAT HAPPENED. NOW, WE KNOCKED ON SEVERAL DOORS IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD, SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON THE FRONT PORCH TALKING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE, A LOT OF THEM STILL IN DISBELIEF NOW. SO MANY PEOPLE SAY THAT THIS COMMUNITY NEEDS A LOT OF PRAYER AND A LOT OF THEM NEED TO FOCUS ON FAITH TO TRY AND MOVE PAST A LOT OF THE VIOLENCE THAT IS HAPPENING. I SPOKE WITH ONE WOMAN WHO SAYS THAT TYPICALLY AFTER THE HOLIDAYS, THAT’S WHEN SHE SEES A LOT OF VIOLENCE INCREASING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. MORE SPECIFICALLY, AFTER 4TH OF JULY AND ALSO NEW YEAR’S DAY. TAKE A LISTEN TO WHAT SOME OF THE PEOPLE TOLD ME. I WAS ACTUALLY HERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND I’M WELL, ANOTHER SHOOTING, YOU KNOW, I MEAN, BECAUSE THAT’S THE WAY IT’S GOTTEN AT THIS POINT. AND I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SAY, IF I CAN, THAT WE GOT TO LET LIVE AND UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE IS VALUABLE. I AM VERY, VERY UPSET. AND IN DISBELIEF. I DON’T KNOW YOU KNOW, I DON’T KNOW THE WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT. I’M JUST I GUESS I’M IN SHOCK THAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED. SO AS OF RIGHT NOW, DISBELIEF IS PROBABLY AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR THIS COMMUNITY. LIKE I SAID, MANY OF THEM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND TRULY WHY THIS HAPPENED, WHY SOMEONE WOULD GO INTO A FIRE DEPARTMENT AND SHOOT TWO OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORK TO KEEP THIS VERY COMMUNITY SAFE. ANOTHER THING THAT I HEARD FROM THE PEOPLE HERE IN THE COMMUNITY, THERE NEEDS TO BE A GREATER APPRECIATION FOR LIFE. A LOT OF PEOPLE NEED TO START COMING TOGETHER AND BE MORE FRIENDLY WITH EACH OTHER AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LOVING ONE ANOTHER MORE. SO WE’RE GOING TO BE HERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR THE DAYS TO COME, TALKING TO THE PEOPLE. REPORTING LIVE HERE IN NORWOOD, I’M J
