Police on two scenes of triple shooting that killed two people in Woodlawn area
Shooting victims were reported within minutes of each other at different locations
Birmingham police are investigating what they call a double homicide in which a third person was shot in the city's Woodlawn area Saturday evening.The shooting was reported shortly after 6 p.m. in the 6800 block of 66th Street South.That's where police say a man and two women were shot. The man was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The two women then drove to Woodlawn High School, which is located in the 5600 block of First Avenue North.Police got a call about that location and found both of the injured women in a car. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. The driver has non-life-threatening injuries.Investigators say the shooting appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute over a child. The man and woman who died apparently share a child.
