One of the most notorious serial killers in us history. Ted Bundy was found guilty of killing Lisa Levy and Margaret Bowman on July 24 1979. Bundy killed at least 30 young women between 1974 and 1978. He was overlooked as *** suspect for years as *** clean cut law student with no criminal record. He didn't fit the profile eventually though authorities began tying him to the crimes, arresting him on kidnapping and assault charges in Colorado in 1977. But after months of planning, Bundy broke out of his jail cell and fled to Florida just two weeks after his escape around 3 a.m. On January 15, 1978 he broke into the Coy Omega Sorority house near Florida State University there. He fatally attacked Margaret Bowman and Lisa Levy. Two other sorority sisters, Kay Kleiner and Karen Anne Chandler were also brutally attacked while they slept, but they survived. Bundy also attacked Cheryl Thomas later that same night who lived *** few blocks away. She lost her hearing as *** result of the attack. Bundy was arrested in Florida the next month with I DS to three dead women in his car, but not before he had kidnapped and killed 12 year old Kimberly Lee, his youngest victim in last murder. Bundy reportedly sabotaged himself during his trial, ignoring his lawyer's advice. He was ultimately sentenced to death and was executed in 1989.
