Jefferson County voters have decided who will fill District 5's vacant commission seat.

The District 5 special election was held July 18 to allow voters to choose who will replace former commissioner Steve Ammons, who resigned earlier this year and took over the chief executive officer role at Birmingham Business Alliance.
